Bridges
Bridges hold many meanings for us. They represent a short cut (but with a certain danger; as evolved apes, falling is still a primal fear). They represent boundaries and crossing over them. They signify one’s past and one’s future. Visually, they can be as awe-inspiring as the Golden Gate or as sweetly bucolic as a row of wooden planks spanning a country creek. Bridges for foot, train and vehicle traffic all have their distinctive separate characters.
